In a joint collaboration with HC Structural Engineering, Santa Clara University, Austin Webcor and International Partnering Institute the “Big Room” at SFO was opened up to see the inside of this remarkable $2.5 billion dollar T1-Boarding Area B project at SFO. Kent DeRusha discussed Integrative Project Delivery advantages and also the benefits that a structured Partnering Culture and Process brings to a project to help reduce change orders, minimize costs and accelerate schedule. Others from the Austin Webcor team, spoke about their perceptions of IPD, IPI, their background on other projects and how the construction culture has changed and what is important to know and embrace as people are beginning to enter the industry.
